HEY! 2025 is The One. I’m...I'm hiring.
AM I?!? Exploritively, yes!

Come Work With Me at The Ancoats Bag Company!
At The Ancoats Bag Company, I pride myself on building exceptional bags, all made in-house at my Manchester studio, in Ancoats! As the order list and new product plans get slightly out of control, I’m looking for a skilled individual to work on a freelance basis to help me take this thing to the next level. Could it be you? Or someone you know?

What's On?
I’m on the lookout for someone with cutting and sewing experience who can dive into the creative and hands-on process of making these bags. As a one-man Bag Brand, I take care of everything, so you could find yourself dipping into all kinds of aspects, from cutting and sewing, to holding a camera and making reels. This is an experimental, step forward which will hopefully act as a spring board into more.

Here’s what you’ll mostly be doing:
* Cutting: Accurately preparing fabric and materials for production.
* Sewing: Assembling bags/parts of bags with precision and attention to detail.
* Quality Control: Of your own work!  Ensuring every bag meets my premium standards means every part of the process needs careful attention to detail.

What I’m Looking For:
* Experience: You’ve worked with fabric and (industrial) sewing machines, and you’re confident in your skills.
* Attention to Detail: Ancoats bags are premium products, and precision is fundamental.
* Reliability: Whether it’s a few hours a week or a specific project, I need someone I can count on.
* Flexibility: This is initially a freelance role, so hours within the working day can probably be tailored to suit us both.

Why Join Me?
* Something Special: Play a part in a brand that values quality, craftsmanship and creativity, small batch manufacture in-house, for a more sustainable footprint.
* Develop: Work closely with me in a small, hands-on setting where your skills are truly appreciated and can flourish.
* Flexible Hours: Could work for someone looking to fit some extra work in with other commitments.
* Transition Phase: As the business hopefully goes to the next level, there may be more opportunities to grow with it, even to help shape it. But this is early days and I’m not trying to make it sound dreamy. It IS early days. It’s hard graft. I made this thing on my own, but I need you, or someone you might know, to help me build the product, and streamline the process.

How to "Apply":
This is a "feeler" post. It's a step I want to take, so if this sounds like the perfect fit, I’d love to hear from you! Send an email to buildmybag@theancoatsbagcompany.com with the subject line “Cut & Sew” and include:
* A brief introduction about yourself.
* Details of your cutting and sewing experience.
* Any relevant examples of your work or portfolio.
* Your availability.

I’m excited to find someone who shares my passion for quality and craftsmanship. If you think that's you, get in touch and we can set up a visit to see what you've got!
